Thursday  July 4th

Arrival. Information center and ticket sale will be open.

Something unexpected might happen, and there will be music all over the place.

Friday July 5th

  9:00  Instrument and sound testing at the concert area

13:00  Opening of the Festival

13:30  Concerts by the Accordions Clubs in the Isafjord Sports Hall

17:00  Opening of a new Accordion Museum, the only one in Iceland:

          Asgeir Sigurdssons Accordion Museum

22:00  Dancing in 3-4 different locals. Many orchestras from the accordion clubs

Saturday July 6th

13:30  Concerts by the Accordions Clubs in the Isafjord Sports Hall

17:00  Concerts by the Guests of Honour:

          Annika Anderson and Lars Karlson from Sweden

22:00  Grand Ballroom Dancing in the Isafjord Sports Hall

Sunday July 7th

The Asgeir Sigurdsson Accordion Museum will be open, and there will be exhibition from the fabulous Record collection of Sigurjon Samuelsson*

Departure.

*Sigurjon Samuelsson is a farmer from the neighbourhood of Isafjordur who owns one of the largest collection of records from the beginning of last century, among them many rare accordion records.

Useful informations:

The musician and composer Baldur Geirmundsson has written and arranged the Festival song, wich will be played by all the participants of the Festival in one huge orchestra.

There will be plenty of camping areas with usual sercvices, there will be a special site for campers and also is possible to get hotel or hostel accommodation in Isafjordur or the neighbourhood during the Festival days.

After the Festival there are countless opportunities to travel into the wilderness in the north, to the islands of Vigur and Aedey or visit some of the small fishing villages in the area. Well there is also the possibility to linger about with the remaining Accordion players, play, dance and have a great time!
